About Kaye McFadyen

My work is deeply inspired by the landscapes and spirit of Scotland’s islands. While I am drawn to the rugged beauty of Uist, Skye, Arran, and Bute, it is the islands of Harris and Lewis that have most profoundly shaped my recent creations.

Their shifting light, vast horizons, and rich cultural heritage continue to influence the textures, colours, and themes within my art.

Inspired by solitary walks along the shore and the elemental energy of Scotland’s remote places, my paintings are a personal response to nature’s power and delicacy.

My process weaves together observation, memory, and imagination to create bold, expressive works that invite connection to wild spaces.

Every painting you see here is an original, one-of-a-kind piece, no copies or prints.

I believe the individuality and authenticity of each artwork is what makes it special, and each one is created to be a truly unique statement.
